Piatt Peppers

This Summer Northern Texas had a long drought with very little reprieve from the triple-digit temperatures and minimal amounts of water. It was also our first year of expanding our garden.

As you can imagine not much survived planting in the direct sun even if they were “full sun” plants. Luckily we had the idea of planting under the dapple of an Elm Tree; knowing our garden would get dappled light throughout the day and evening sun.

Our plan worked! We had so many tomatoes but even triple the amount of PEPPERS!! From 5 different color bell peppers to banana peppers, Italian peppers, habanero peppers, to a family and customer favorite jalapeño peppers.
