This isn’t your grandparents’ farm, but we aspire to be.
Our story
It all began when a small farm town Midwest girl married a city survived Texas boy and then moved their family to Texas. They longed for trees - real trees not just sticks or saplings - space and real yards, and maybe even a hill but would settle for a knoll. Their solution was to sell their house in a high-growth area to an older part of the DFW metroplex.
The excitement of finding these things got the family dreaming even bigger; giving way to thoughts of a mini homestead in the suburbs. a place with bees and plenty of flowers, herbs, fruits, and veggies to share.

Picked with care
From the seeds and soil we use to the herbs, fruits, veggies, and eggs - all are handpicked with care to get the best quality in a sustainable way.
My husband met me in Ohio and fell in love with the farmlands of the midwest. So much so that we spent a few years in Wisconsin before relocating to TX to be nearer to family.
Longing for the midwest and being inspired by the Biggest Small Farm documentary based on Apricot Lane we decided to start our own urban homestead.
